You will have an unforgettable trip along the coast of the Cape Peninsula, washed by Atlantic Ocean. You will be able to visit the most southwest point of the African continent, mystically called the Cape of Good Hope, where two currents meet.
Your tour around the cape will show you different suburbs of Southern Peninsula -nothing less than short of breathtaking.
Our second part of the day will be dedicated for discovery of good wines and wine tastings.
Drive through Atlantic seaboard areas famous as millionaires mile due to the very pricy land and views in this area- Sea Point, Bantry Bay, Clifton Camps Bay. Stop at the Maidens Cove view point for photos of Camps bay beach and 12 Apostles mountain range.
Our next stop will be Hout bay historical harbour -very vibrant spot with coffee shops, souvenirs market, boats to take around Hout Bay harbour. You will take a 45 min trip to Dukker seal island (subject of availability and the weather) to see Cape Fur Seal colony – more then 5000 seals leave there.
We will stop at the top of the historical road built on the slops of the mountain to enjoy views and take pictures
We will drive thorough entrance of the Cape Point Nature Reserve and Finally we got to the our highlight stop -Cape of Good Hope – this famous cape where lots of sailors were struggling to sail, boats crushed on the rocks, untamed storms and ocean currents caused many shipwrecks. You will enjoy views of the Cape of Good Hope and have time to take a pic with famous sign here.
Our next stop is Cape Point – one more of the historical places where you can enjoy walks to the old and the new lighthouse and take lots of pictures of this picturesque area.
Next our visit will be African Jackass Penguin Colony at the Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town. This is smallest colony of endangered penguin species. Absolutely natural inhabitant. They making their nests in the sand and going to catch a fish to eat. You can enjoy viewing different age African Penguins depends of the season you visit. There are more then 3000 penguins in this colony.
After enjoying interaction with African Jackass penguins you will take drive to the heart of the wine industry town of the Stellenbosch. Road trip takes about 30-40 min. You will be taken through the old city center of the Stellenbosch town, admitting cosy colonial Cape Dutch style architecture along the streets. Our stop will be at the one of the wine farms to enjoy white and reds of the Cape pared with some chocolate made at the Cape as well.
Our last stop will be delicious wine and cheese paring. Famous farm for both wine and cheeses. Pioneers of quite a few wine styles here. Tasty cheeses pared with tasty wines. 6 wines and 6 cheeses toped up with something sweet at the end.
