Their colorful ceremonies and expressive, artistic culture give this area its vibrant atmosphere and creative energy. Explore the roots of Zulu culture by embarking on a guided tour deep into tribal lands. Witness ancient Zulu ceremonies as traditional diviners ‘throw the bones’ and communicate with their spiritual ancestors at pheZulu Safari Park. PheZulu also offers traditional Zulu dancing and cultural shows.  Also, embark on the park’s tour at the Crocodile & Snake Park which boasts wonderful views across the valley.

Stop 1Spectacular scenery of 1000 Hills

Depart Durban for your journey inland and toward Pietermaritzburg to the Valley of a Thousand Hills. As you travel through this scenic landscape, you will notice that on the crest of the hills overlooking the valley are leafy suburbs and village centers.

Stop 2 Recognized Zulu village

We will take you inland to visit a traditional Zulu homestead for you to see how the native Zulu people live and learn about their culture. Phezulu Safari Park – 35yrs yo- a traditional Zulu Village overlooking the Valley of 1000 Hills. A crocodile farm and snake park is included in the complex. 4×4 vehicles take tourists into the valley of 1000 hills on a game drive and a visit to a contemporary village . There are two curio shops and 2 restaurants for your use.

Stop 3Cultural dance show

Traditional Zulu dancing is an important part of the Zulu culture. Dancing is usually performed during a traditional Zulu ceremony, and is accompanied by vibrant singing and sometimes the beating of drums. Zulu dancing is something quite spectacular, especially when the men and women are fully dressed in their traditional attire.

Stop 4Snake and crocodile park

PheZulu Snake Park has snake species including African Rock Pythons , Green Mamba, Black Mamba, Boomslang, Vine Snake
Puff Adder, Spitting Cobra, Rinkhals, Forest Cobra, Egyptian Cobra and many more species. Its wonderful to enjoy viewing the dangerous reptiles in the safe space.
Toy will learn interesting facts about crocodiles and snakes, as well as meet Ramesis 90 year old Nile crocodile and have a hands-on experience with Cleo Burmese python who weighs in at 42 kilograms
